Paprika Avocado Spread

Recipes created from pure desperation are just the best. Some of our household favorites were born that way! And that's exactly how this spread came to be. In the spirit of healthy fats (and my avocado kick lately), I thought I'd share it with you.

This spread is a perfect condiment for a lettuce wrap, on the side of eggs or even as a veggie dip. My favorite is to spread it on my gluten-free bread as a post-yoga snack.

Paprika Avocado Spread

Ingredients:

  • 1 ripe avocado, pitted and removed from skin

  • Paprika, onion powder, salt and pepper (all to taste)

Instructions:

  1. After the pit is removed from the avocado and skin is removed, mash that creamy green goodness until smooth.

  2. Add all four spices to taste. I like to sprinkle a little bit of each, mix it up, then taste until the flavor is to my liking.

This recipe is so easy to make your own. You can follow my recipe, or you can add your own flavors to the spread. Some ideas: lemon juice, cayenne, diced tomato.

Enjoy & Be well,

Angela
